Welcome to the Mahurangi Hope Centre – located at 22 Mansel Drive, Warkworth, Auckland.
Situated conveniently behind Noel Leeming and the Warehouse, the Hope Centre is easily accessible and offers ample parking for you and your guests.
Our beautiful, spacious, and multipurpose facilities offer a range of bespoke zones, from small meeting rooms to large-scale conference venues and areas for sporting activities. Additionally, we have a fully functional commercial kitchen on-site, a world-class gymnasium that supports multiple sporting disciplines at an international level and a dedicated events team to help.

Our spaces
Hope Gymnasium
Our purpose-designed sports centre is built to international standards and features a sprung Indonesian hardwood floor and a full-size international basketball court, used by Harbour Basketball, Mahu Basketball Club, Harbour Volleyball, and Mahurangi Pickleball Club. The multipurpose space is ideal for various activities, including badminton, volleyball, futsal, netball, and fitness groups.
The sports complex includes changing rooms, showers, banked seating, and is equipped with two PA speakers, a wireless microphone, a 3.5mm audio jack, a mic jack with volume control, and guest WiFi.
The gym is open from 7am to 10pm every day except Sundays, and can be hired from $50 an hour including GST. Extras and conditions may apply. Contact us to learn more.
Hope Function Centre
Our Auditorium is the perfect choice for larger gatherings offering seating for up to 240 people. This spacious venue is ideal for conferences, seminars, performances, and a variety of other events.
Features include: Two 750W speakers, 24 channel mixing desk, four stage spotlights (fixed), two coloured stage spotlights (fixed), four coloured floor accent lights (placeable), four metre-wide 16:9 screen (fixed), Epson 8500 lumen laser projector (1900x1200res), a lectern and microphones, wireless microphones, and guest wifi.
This facility is open from 7am to 10pm every day except Sundays, and can be hired from $125 an hour including GST, for a minimum of 2 hours. You can also choose to bundle this with the Chapel or Commercial Kitchen and Cafe (POA). Extras and conditions may apply. Contact us to learn more.
Hope Board Room
Our spacious upstairs Boardroom offers a comfortable and professional setting for meetings of up to 16 people.
Whether you’re hosting a board meeting, training session, or workshop, our spaces are equipped with everything you need to ensure a successful event. Just plug in and go.
The room includes: a 50” TV, HDMI cable available and guest wifi.
This space is available from 7am to 10pm every day except Sundays, and can be hired from $140 per day, or $80 per half day including GST. Extras and conditions may apply. Contact us to learn more.
Hope Meeting Rooms
Our two comfortable meeting pod rooms can accommodate break out groups of up to 6 people each downstairs.
Whether you’re hosting a board meeting, training session, or workshop, our spaces are equipped with everything you need to ensure a successful event. Just plug in and go.
Meeting rooms include: a TV, HDMI cable available and guest wifi.

Hope Chapel
The chapel space can be used for smaller events, similar in layout to the auditorium but a smaller room for more intimate groups of up to 60 people.
The facility includes: a lectern and microphone, PA amp and speakers with an external input for a laptop, a presentation laptop with Powerpoint and an HDMI lead available, a 75” LED TV (wall mounted) with Chromecast or HDMI, and guest wifi.

St Andrew’s Chapel
The historic St Andrews Presbyterian Church has a new home at Matakana Country Park. Originally built in Matakana in 1895 and named in honour of the patron saint of mariners, this charming church is a testament to timeless beauty. Constructed primarily of kauri, St Andrews Church retains its original kauri pews and features a beautifully modified kauri pulpit.
With seating for up to 100 people and a maximum capacity of 120, it provides an intimate setting for various gatherings including weddings, christenings, funerals, family reunions and more. You are welcome to bring your own minister or celebrant, or we can provide recommendations for you.
