After school on Tuesdays an energetic group of Pasifika primary school students join us for an afternoon programme that combines learning with games, and art/craft activities. The programme focuses on supporting children to master their times tables and to develop a reading habit before they transition into high school education. As most of the students are from Kiribati, our programme also encourages students to use and maintain their te taetae ni Kirbati through songs, games and tataro.

After homework is completed students receive coaching from North Harbour Volleyball coaches, and enjoy a hearty dinner together. Students are also supported with career planning, and a school translation and support service for families is offered.
